isol8 was honoured to be invited by the OGTC to occupy one of the exhibition spaces at the NDC launch event at Newmachar.

The qualification of alternative barriers for well decommissioning is going to be one of the principle areas of focus for the newly created NDC.

isol8 had approached Aberdeen University and OGTC to propose the creation of a barrier test chamber which received support from the Decommissioning Challenge Fund III. The NDC barrier test chamber, when commissioned, should facilitate and accelerate the qualification of new barrier materials at downhole pressure and temperature conditions.
