Company founders Andrew Louden and Jim Laidlaw welcome on board a first-class quartet with a brace of former colleagues.

Niall Lipp joins as isol8’s Engineering Manager, responsible for the mechanical design of isol8’s downhole tools. He is supported by Nigel Halladay who brings more than 30 years of downhole tool design experience to his role as principal engineering design consultant. Michaela Towler has joined the ambitious start-up business as QHSE manager. Paul Davies completes the quartet as isol8’s Operations Manager.

Niall and Michaela are both former colleagues; now head-hunted by Andrew for a second time! After holding their first design meeting the team enjoyed an evening meal together at a local restaurant in Aberdeen. After only a few weeks together, some of the new recruits were off to meet with the Olympic Research Team who were contracted to test and qualify the downhole tools. The UK and US teams spent quality time together working on finalising the initial product design before venturing out to yet another local restaurant in Port Townsend WA, USA (Left to right in photo below – Andrew Louden, Meridith Lowry, Nigel Halladay, Robin Jerman, Bill Lowry, Paul Davies, Nick Wisner, Ken Coates and Niall Lipp).
